Books are better than the movies? (obviously) - Vampire Academy

Hi everyone, me here. Before you read on, I'm going to tell you that this post is going to be a "show off" post, where I show off something because I am too happy. It's not important, you can just move along if you want. But if you don't! Look at them below! so. beautiful.

So, yesterday I just watched Vampire Academy (finally) and I was struck by how stupid I am. Not because I watched it, but because I hadn't read the book yet! for years I got the complete series as ebook on my ipad. But I never touched it. Why? I don't even know. Maybe I just didn't get a strong reason to start it. But after watching the movie? like hell I don't start now! I thought the movie was great. And guys, if you don't know yet, I have this believe that "Books are always better than the movie." If the movie's great, then the book's gonna be ten times greater right? no?

So here I am sharing a picture of my new babies. I bought the paperback several hours ago because I prefer paperbacks rather than ebooks. And with the "Major motion picture" cover because it looked fabulous! Plus I got to keep the poster [wink] (oh, and I bought the Ultimate Guide too because I am tempted)

It got a poster inside! purr-fect.

So you guys who had read it before watching it! what do you think about the movie? I know it's really late but... that's the consequence of living far away. Like in Indonesia. Where you get to fangirl about something when everyone had moved on, because you need to wait for at least another month before the cool movies get into the theaters here. [input long sigh here]

  1. Hi Feli,
Don't feel bad about being late with watching the movie, I watched it not so long ago.
I thought the movie was great and it stayed really close to the book!
You NEED to read the series. I'm currently reading the 6th and final book in the series and I don't want it to end. It just keeps getting better and better.

I posted my movie review yesterday, if you like you can check it out :)

Happy reading and have fun staring at your new stuff! ;)

    1. Glad to hear it! I'm actually a bit sad that some people didn't enjoy the movie as much as I did. Because I thought it was great (lol) I am actually currently reading the first book! super excited about it.

Oh and I will definitely check out your movie review! love reading about other's thoughts about it :-)
