(Review) Stripped by Piper Lawson
I received a copy in exchange of an honest review.
The moment I found out that this book involved a sassy female protagonist, I am definitely in.
To pursue their career, Ava is now living in New York city with her bestie and business partner. When they thought everything is going well, their business is sued for plagiarism. Trying to proof them wrong, Ava is willing to fight as best as she could to keep her dream, just to find out later on that her hottest hookup is the one suing her for copying his client's work.
Stripped is an absolutely enjoyable read. I didn't read the previous instalment and thank goodness that this book is good enough as a standalone. All of the characters-even the secondary ones-had so many layers, Ava especially. I loved her! she is so sarcastic and amazing. The kind of heroine that I'm always looking forward to in a novel. And Nate is not any less amazing, he is such a book boyfriend. Their enemy-turned-lovers relationship are just so entertaining and adorable! major shipping them both together since the beginning.
The plot might be a little bit predictable but it doesn't matter since the writing style is absolutely flawless. The type of book that you can't put down until you finished the whole thing. And although I did say predictable, the conflict was not exactly the typical conflict you meet in other novels, so that's always a plus. I would definitely recommend this book.
